Per inside sources, the huge fight that has been looming behind host Ryan Seacrest and judge Simon Cowell has finally come to a head. Ryan and Simon apparently got into a huge fight that ended with Simon yelling at Ryan to "just come out of the closet you * homo". Indeed, Ryan and Simon have allegedly had such a falling out that Simon threatened to leave if Ryan wasn't immediately replaced! Last night the producers were frantically searching for a temporary replacement for Ryan until they can permanently replace him either later in the season or next year. Four names were being tossed around as potential temporary replacements - Mikalah Gordon, Matt Rogers (from Season 3), Sanjaya Malakar or Antonella Barba. Other presenters will be considered, but we're likely to see a former Idol contestant as the producers are so short on time to find a replacement for tonight. Obviously this will upset a lot of fans, but I'm sure an equal number will be pleased to finally get the banter between Ryan and Simon over with. Let's hope that they pick someone that Simon can get along with this time around so we won't have even more bad banter to live with.
