Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson get engaged

Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz and pop singer Ashlee Simpson are engaged. Ashlee made the announcement in a statement posted on People Magazine's website. The couple have been dating since the fall of 2006. "Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged."
Simpson's manager-father, Joe Simpson, told the magazine he's "totally happy" and "so excited to have Pete as part of (our) family." 
Ashlee has a new album due out later this month.
We wish Ashlee and Pete a lifetime of happiness together.

A lifetime of happiness?
You do know that the average lifespan of a Hollywood marriage is like 6 months right?
And thats only when they carry through with the engagement too.
Oh well. I never really liked any of them anyway. But I guess I can wish them peace, prosperity and longlastingness.
And I liked how you included that her album will be coming out soon. Cuz we all know that this 'engagement' isn't a publicity stunt right?
