Bruguera refused a request for a new trial by XtraJet Inc. and owner Jeffrey Borer. Borer and XtraJet were ordered to pay $20.5 million to Michael Jackson's lawyer back in March. They were found to be responsible for invading the privacy of Michael and his lawyers by placing video recording equipment in a plane chartered by Jackson to return him to Santa Barbara to face child molestation charges. Since being handed that judgment, XtraJet has gone bankrupt. Their lawyer tried to argue that the tape didn't contain sound, so could not have breeched attorney-client priviledge.
