So You Think You Can Dance Top Six perform

The Top Six dancers on So You Think You Can Dance performed in a fast paced show tonight. As Cat Deeley pointed out, each couple would dance twice and have a solo plus we only had an hour to fit it in.

Joining judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy tonight is Adam Shankman.

First up are Courtney & Mark, with a Viennese Waltz choreographed by Jason Gilkison to David Cook's "The Time of My Life." It was a very beautiful and romantic dance. Adam thought it was beautiful. He said that Mark's rise and fall was the best of any guy this season. Mary thought the lifts seemed effortless and that Mark has grown every week. Nigel thought it was beautifully romantic.

First up for the solos was Chelsie, who danced to "When I Grow Up" by the Pussycat Dolls. Then we had Twitch's solo to "The Midas Touch" by Midnight Star. He added props - glasses and gold teeth, both of which Cat Deeley wore after he danced. Yes, Cat put Twitch's fake teeth in her mouth. I suppose that's one way to swap spit, but the other method is probably more fun.

The next pairing was Katee & Joshua, who have been reunited. They danced a Contemporary routine by Tyce DiOrio, who said this was a Romeo and Juliette undying love sort of thing. They danced to "All By Myself" by Celine Dion. The jumps, lifts and jump lifts were amazing. I love these two together, they have such wonderful chemistry. Adam said it's the best thing Tyce has done all season and thinks Katee & Joshua are two of the most exciting dancers ever on the stage. He calls Katee, Joshua and Tyce the holy trinity. Mary thought the leap catch was phenomenal and thinks both of them will be in the finale. Nigel thinks that Joshua, for having no classical training, had beautiful lines and delievered brilliantly.

Chelsie & Twitch performed a Mambo choreographed by Tony and Melanie to "Ahora Me Toca a Mi" by Victor Manuelle. Before I say what I thought, we'll hit the judges first. Adam thought Chelsie was on fire, and though Twitch was out of his element he sold it with his face. Adam told Twitch he could have used some more aggression, but is a strong partner. Mary thought it was a great routine and pointed out that Mambo is difficult when done on the two (whatever that means) and gave props to Twitch for being ontime.

As for Chelsie, she's a firecracker. Nigel thought that Tony and Melanie created a routine for Twitch that made him look good. Okay, now for my thoughts. I love Twitch, but he was a mess on this one. Chelsie held it together for the pair of them. Everytime they had to make a connection by holding hands or whatever Chelsie grabbed him, not the other way around. She led the dance, not Twitch. I'm shocked the judges didn't call him on it.

Katee picked "Can't Stop" by Maroon 5 for her solo while Joshua chose "Like That" by Memphis Bleek.

For Courtney & Mark's second dance, they had a Sonya Tayeh Jazz routine. Sonya said this was like old French Burlesque. They danced to "The Garden" by Mirah. It was bizarre, but interesting. Adam was happy they have nothing to do with the voting anymore. He loves them individually and together. Mary loved it, calling it crazy and raw. Nigel thought the routine suited Mark's unique style. He also thought that Courtney carried off brilliantly.

Katee & Joshua's second dance was a Paso Doble choreographed by Jason Gilkison. The style calls for the man to be a matador, and the woman is his cape. They danced to "Filet" by Le Reve. Joshua is finally shirtless and in his poured on pants this time around. He's fabulous in these Ballroom and Latin dances it's just amazing. Adam says they make him believe in the impossible. Mary thinks it's magic when they are onstage together, then gives a deafening scream.

Nigel thought there were so many good things about the routine and agreed with Mary that Joshua might steal the show if he keeps this up.

Courtney picked "Rock Your Soul" by Elisa as her solo, while Mark went for "Bum Like You" by Robyn.

Chelsie & Twitch were up last dancing to a Hip Hop routine choreographed by Tabitha & Napoleon. This one features crazy conductors who are fighting over the stick. They danced to "Control" by The Vitamin String Quartet (yes, Janet Jackson's control, just with strings). It was weird but very fun as are all Tabitha and Napoleon routines. Adam loves the wit and humor that Tabitha and Napoleon bring to their routines. Mary loves Twitch when he's in his element and thought Chelsie kept up with him nicely. Nigel says that any of the top six can land in the top four as all of them are fantastic.

	I was so disappointed when Will was voted off last week. I still think he was THE best dancer, BUT Joshua has been my fave from the beginning. He was sensational tonight--beyond unbelievable. I agree that he was a shot at winning if he keeps this up.

	thanks for the song names i totally missed them and i love the song that Mark and Courtney danced to! They were fantastic! loved it! oh and i want Twitch to win, but go Joshua!! hehe Woohoo!

	Based on tonight's performance's and despite the over the top praise for most of the dancers and the choreographers, I think I want Joshua and Katee as the final two standing. Both have given me a solid list of favorite performances. Joshua has an amazing feel for the sinuous quality of the Latin dances, even though all the technique might not be there. For the second time, I couldn't take my eyes off of him to watch his partner much (rumba, now the paso). I love them both!

I love everyone in the Top six for different reasons (actually I loved everyone in the Top Eight!) but I think Joshua and Katee deserve to be in the top two. Though as I said before, I'd be happy with any of them winning. This has really been a WOW kind of season.

	I was completely and utterly amazed at the dancing last night. The fact that Joshua has never had classical training and Katee almost did not make it into the top 20 makes their story that much more magical. I think it goes to show that if you have the gift of dance, like Joshua obviously has, you can dance anything. Imagine just how good he will be after he does have training! I really want to see Katee and Joshua in the top two. Question: Why can't American Idol be as exciting and fun as SYTYCD has been?

If you can't be a good example, then be a horrible warning!

	Joshua and Katee are amazing. I was surprised when Cat put Twitch's gold teeth in her mouth! I hope Joshua, Twitch, Katee, and Chelsie are in the finale.
