Steven Tyler to be replaced in Aerosmith?

Apparently Aerosmith is considering replacing Steven Tyler with another singer. Joe Perry admitted that Tyler had to get his act together if the band is to survive. Brad Whitford went a bit further with his statements in a recent interview.

In a new interview with Classic Rock magazine, Whitford has revealed that the band are to hold meetings 'АУ probably without Tyler 'АУ in the next fortnight to discuss their future. One direction being considered is to replace Tyler with a new singer, Whitford confirmed.

He also said that steven could never be replaced or imitate him beause he's one of a kind. But that if someone would be willing to do so and the chemistry was right they could try it.

In the original article it is also said that Tyler has been given a seperate dressing room from the rest of the band. Which sound to me that the band is actually falling apart again.

	I can see why the rest of the band would want to continue if Tyler quits, however, they might as well change the name. His voice IS Aerosmith. I suppose they could tour the "little better than a tribute band" circuit with the Perry-less Journey and the DeYoung-less Styx...

I heard this on the radio the other day and couldn't believe it. No disrespect to the other guys, but Aerosmith IS Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. You can't replace either of them! If the guys choose to go on making music after Steven leaves, they are better off going with a completely different band and direction.
