Thirdly, if you would have done your homework you would have observed that Fantasia is very much attached to her family and the church that she attends. She has a very "free" spirit and does not at all appear to be a religious "nut" case.

Fantasia's past, is her PAST. I have a lot of respect for what she has been able to accomplish with her life so far...to her the sky is truly the limit. And, that is coming from someone who you would unfortunatley refer to as a "religious fanatic."

Of course, I know that I and many others are not. You need to open your mind and allow it to expand outside of your intellectual box.

Obsidious did not "bring politics" into this; he was responding to someone else's post. There have also been a few other posts decrying Fantasia for the "sin" of unwed motherhood. It should be irrelevant to the competition, but like it or not, politics do have a role in determining AI, especially if people vote for political reasons. Finally, I think you missed his point; he's not attacking all christians, but rather the fundamentalists who insist on forcing their viewpoint on others.
