Just when everyone had hoped that Metallica and Megadeth had finally ended their meaningless little battle, it's flared up all over again. It seems as if the Metallica movie is at fault this time.
The latest chapter in the decade-and-a-half saga has been the new Metallica film, Some Kind Of Monster--or, more accurately, a certain scene in the film in which Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich sits down to hash out hard feelings with guitarist Dave Mustaine, who had been fired from the band in the early years and went on to form Megadeth.
For those arriving late, Dave was indeed a part of Metallica, years and years ago. He was "kicked out" by James and Lars due to his "excessive alcohol abuse." Dave, of course, laughed that one off, since according to him James and Lars drank circles around him.
At any rate, after all of them finally got sober, they seemed to bury the hatchet. Now it seems as if Dave has gotten pissed off all over again.
Last week, news broke that the new issue of Record Collector magazine would feature comments from Mustaine, who called the inclusion of the scene a "final betrayal," as he had asked the band to cut it from the finished film.
Personally, I wish they would just give it a rest. No one really cares about their little issues anymore.
But if they give it a rest, Dave Mustaine will fade into the vacant emptiness of name-droppery. As long as there's a rift, his name and his band name will be thrown into the media, thereby scoring maybe one or two more sales of his pathetic band's recordings.
Obviously, this Jaminomanov dude is a mindless drone like everyone else who are fans of metallica and doesn't see the lopsided talent that is in Megadeth(Dave Mustaine). Just listening to anything Dave has done will show who has the real talent for song writing. Metallica is Blink 182 compared to Megadeth.
I saw the movie yesterday and I just thought that it was too bad that Dave thought like that. Dave has always stood alone and worked through all the manure that was thrown at him and is still on top. The movie shows that Metallica are musical light weights. Dave has more talent in his pinky than Metallica has in their whole body. This movie shows you that 4 "musicians" can't come up with any worth while music in a year and half of blood and sweat.
i saw the movie a while ago, and metallica is way better then megadeth, im not saying that megadeth sucks or anything cuz i listen to them too, but metallica is just this musical band that tells the truth about real adult situtations and the crazy world that we live in...METAL UP YOUR ASS!

Eveyone knows that metallica can own megadeth, just face it megadeth fans they suck.Metallicas black album sold almost as much albums as megadeths WHOLE CAREER and you idiots still stay megadeth is better. Face it its not just the music but its the talent as well.
Metallica is better than Megadeth because even though I was not a fan of Load and Re-load the band was able to grow and try out differant things. Megadeth has basically done the same thing its whole career. Megadeth are not musicians they are just metal heads
dave mustaine kicks the manure out of metallica...ever since cliff was outa of the picture metallica started to * suck...and even with burton dave still is clearly better then metallica....take a look at hangar 18 and holy wars and tell me what metallica song compares..and there are plenty more songs i can think of..metallica are sellouts...they came out with a movie and there pricks to there fans..instrumentally and lyrically dave music is so much better..and he sure didnt do a song with that faggot Ja Rule like metallica...yea thats metal right tehre metallica
i am very glad to say megadeth are a better band than metallica. i used to adore metallica until i got a taste of `holy wars.`megadeths career in general has been far more consistant than metallica. metal heads say kill em all is metallicas best album and i agree and look who played guitar for that album, DAVE MUSTAINE!!! I love both bands but far too many ppl wont give megadeth a shot. If u do u wont regret. believe me!!!!!!!
DESCRIBING A BAND AS GOOD OR BAND IS NOT REVELENT TO HOW MANY RECORDS THEY SOLD. DO YOU METAL HEADS WANT N*SYNC FANS TELLING YOU THAT THEY ARE MORE GIFTED THAN METALLICA OR MEGADETH?? I DON'T THINK SO, I'M A HUGE FAN OF BOTH BANDS, I COULDN'T HAVE A GOOD CD COLLECTION WITHOUT BOTH BANDS INCLUDED. THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE RESPECT SHOWN TOWRADS MEGADETH, I'M PROUD THAT DAVE DIDN'T GIVE UP, IT'S GOOD TO HAVE MORE METAL BANDS. Metallica just absolutely owns Megadeth! Kirk Hammett is a better guitarist than Dave or Marty will ever be!i cud name a few songs that woops hanger 18 and holy wars in the ass..namely "One" "Hit the Lights" Dyers Eve" and "Damage Inc." I like megadeth to be honest there a good band with lots of talent but Metallica just takes the cake for this one
Dave Mustaine is every bit the guitarist that Kirk Hammett is. What set Megadeth apart from Metallica was Mustaine's ability to recruit actual musicians, such as Chris Poland, Marty Friedman, and Gar Samuelson. No one in their right mind would place any of the members of Metallica on the same level as these guys. Metallica may have been catchier, may have "sold" more albums, but Megadeth was playing circles around them.

i think that since megadeths been doin the same thing thats good keep doing the uptempo.. metallica sold out cuz they went slower and it doesnt matter if metallica made a movie maybe they needed a movide so they can get on the air more. maybe theyre running out of ideas.. wat i cant belive is people actually thinking dave mustaine is in kirk hammets league... look at one,master of puppets and fade to black.megadeth is good but are not better than metallica.and dave mustaine is a bigger winger than lars is coz lars is just sticking up for music.think about it with napster and all that around the music industry will be screwed how do you think bands get to the big time? Metallica kick megadeths arse!!! Dave n marty are good guitarist but no way are they better then hammett. For the guy who said mustaine wrote at least a third of master of puppets, Thats *in bullmanure. Daves says he wrote 'Leper messiah' thats it. And for you who say Dave has more song writing talent then hetfield, i really disagree with that. Listen to 'Mechanix' and 'the 4 horsemen. Dave did write some of the riffs in the 4 horsemen and the start bit in in the second solo but thats it. The lyrics to 'mechanix' are *in stupid!!! the four horsemen is a great song with great lyrics. And mustaine didnt write creeping death!!he didnt write any of it!! he did write parts to 'the call of ktulu' and also co-wrote quite abit of stuff of kill em all. When kirk joined metallica he wrote his own solos!!! the first solo in jump in the fire is daves and the start bit in the 2nd '4 horsemen solo, and some parts of the 'seek n destroy solo. The solos Dave wrote for 'hit the lights' 'the mechanix' 'motor breath' jump in the fire' 'phantom lord' 'no remorse' and seek n destroy were really really manure. Hammett is a far better guitarist. Metallica are much more talented.

i dont you megadeth manures have heard about kirk hammet hammet is in hall of fame for his guitar solo for 'one' hes no one where as mustaine is on no 3 for hanger 18 . I really thikn you guys should see the MTV ICON metallica and check out the respect the music world gives to there is a big diffrence between 90 million albums and 15 million i hope you guys understand that and im sure you must have heard the saying BLACK SABBATH CREATED METAL BUT METALLICA PERFECTED IT !!! ride on james .
MegaDeth isn't so much of a band as much as Dave Mustaine, "ex-Metallica guitarist", with hired musicians. Talented? Of course he is. This rift, I believe, motivates Dave.
James and Dave have individually wrote great songs, but the upper hand goes to James. Hammet is a guitar legend; I heard at work today "oh, that guy in shipping can play some Hammet". Lars on drums, he's one of the best. Bassists, they've gone thru 3, Cliff being awesome, Newsted being extremely talented in his own right; new guy sounds good.
Metallica sold out with "Enter Sandman". It has the Lord's prayer in it, in which Mustaine wrote (title? Bill + Ted's Excellent.. sound track) , and had a guitar rift that sounded alot like a "Green Jelly" song. I hate Enter Sandman. Black album was them cashing in. Personally, I'd join N*Sync for enough money.
But Metallica is comparable to Rush and Black Sabbath. They are the Kings of Rock. MegaDeth, specifically Dave Mustaine, reminds me alot of Ted Nugent. MegaDeth has a cult following, simular to, but smaller than, Pantera and will remain in Metallica's shadow as long as he lets it.
Ok.. I like megadeth and metallica but i can say that metallica is way much better than megadeth. Without Dave Mustaine megadeth is crap. The one who is saying that megadeth is better than metallica...........I pitty him
To all of those who claim Metallica to be the people's choice via album sales and such, Christina and Brittany are also People's choices and Elton John's "Candle In The Wind" is the best selling song of all time. You know, maybe popularity might not be the best measuring stick where metal bands are concerned.
