American Idol will not broadcast their usual results show tonight. Instead there will be a re-vote show tonight. As we told you yesterday, there was a mistake with the telephone numbers displayed for Mikalah Gordon, Anwar Robinson, and Jessica Sierra.
While I thought that it wouldn't have much of an effect and the Idol's producers would just let it slide, they have decide to have a new show tonight, and then open the phone lines again. Only the votes from tonight will count, so be sure to tune in and vote for your favorites. From what Fox is saying, it sounds like it will be a live show, but the performances will be the taped ones from last night.
i can not believe that Fox posted the wrong number, but that should not matter because the last three were terrilbe, except for Jessica who was great singing a Total Eclipse from the Heart from Bonnie Tyler, still Constantine (so sexy and humble at the same time), Carrie and Anthony were the best and some credit go this week to Jessica, what a lost for Fox TV error with the voting issue, i guess we all have to re-vote tonight
I do hope they show the taped versions of Tuesday night and not give them another chance to sing again, as it would not be fair. Ms. Gordon was horrendous and should be the one to go!
I agree, I'm glad they'll be showing taped versions of the performances. When I heard about the news this morning, I was under the impression that they'd have to all re-perform. That made me kind of upset, since a lot of my favorites did a very excellent job. So I'm happy they'll just be showing the previous ones now I can re-live last night's wonderful show!

This whole thing has "set-up" written all over it. Sure, stuff like this has happened on live shows, but this was PRE-TAPED. There is no way that not one of the dozens of people who put this show together didn't catch that, its such an obvious mistake! I don't trust the people behind this show one bit, they've made far too many "errors" in the 4 seasons of this show that there's no way its all a coincidence and people just keep messing up over and over. Its also interesting when you see which contestants the mess-ups affect. I wouldn't be surprised if the show wanted to take down a front-runner in the next few weeks to get a ratings boost.
I dont know how Mikalah got on in the first place she has sucked from the start. She doesn't even compare to most of the others. I believe that the judges decide what they will say to each contestant before they ever perform. I agree that it is a set up aswell.
I think this is really funny because if you think about it the numbers are always the same and you by the contestants numer so if they sang first it wil be 01 if they sang 11 then it will be 11 so why just dont know i guess the fans just dont know how to think you ignore the numbers they flashed up there if they wanted Mikayla then they should've voted 09 instead of 01 thanks
I agree that Mikahlah will still get voted off..can you really lose votes when you are so horrible on stage?
Frankly, this will make more of a mess then those three numbers that noone looks at. I know my household isn't watching the re-play, so more votes will be lost where it matters. The only people who will probably still vote will be those who think they're person is getting kicked off (in other words, Mikahlah's fans) and it might have horrid consequences, such as one of the better singers getting the boot because noone wants to waste their time watching the same performances again.
I have to wonder if they are doing the revote simply because the results showed one of the three with the mistake being voted off. I'm sure the results are known rather quickly, or at least an indication of what it will be. If it wasn't either Mikalah, Anwar, or Jessica, then why bother to have a revote?
I worry about the time frame for voting tonight. The voting doesn't start until 10 and goes to midnight, there will be a lot of lost votes in that second hour because people go to bed. I get up early in the morning and I like to go to bed before midnight. I voted for two hours last night and I really don't want to do it again. This really does seem fishy this whole error with the numbers.
If it comes out later that Mikalah had been eliminated in the original voting and she doesn't get voted out tonight, I am gonna be so f*cking mad.
C'MON PEOPLE! Even if you don't watch the show tonight, you know who did well last night! Just call in and vote tonight whether you saw tonight's show or not!! No one can afford for Mikalah not to leave this week.
