Pink Floyd singer/guitarist
David Gilmour will begin his first solo tour in decades March 10 in Dortmund, Germany, in support of his upcoming solo album, "On an Island." Although North American dates have yet to be confirmed, Gilmour is expected to visit the region in April.
The European tour dates will take Gilmore to Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, and England. The new album will be released on March 6th.
I would like to know if Mr. David Gilmour has any plans to come to the Untied States, to perform. I have followed his music; studied it, if you will. I fashioned my own style after his own, in a way. As far as how I play the music I write, in anyy case. The point is, I have an interest in his solo material, and would like to see a performance without having to sell everything I own for a plane ticket.
I will be in Toronto from the 7th April 2006, I believe Gilmore is performing?
A friend has told me this, is it still possible to buy tickets? ((2 tickets)
I'm sure we can get enought fans around Vancouver to make it worth while.
The last time he was here for the Division Bell Tour, I was forced to give up my tickets because of my wedding. It has to be said that I should have heeded my gut feeling and gone to the concert instead.
News from the trades, Greg Squires (the former drummer from Godsmack 2006) will be performing with the band for the midwest leg of the tour. He is noted for the recent cover tune on Madden 06 "Bring It On".Looking forward to see this awsume guy with Mr. Gilmore & friends.
oh its a sighn from the gods that he has returned to give us fans some much deserving music once again. im so looking forward to the album and i will do anything to get ahold of some tickets . i have been so desprate for floydish music i have gone to the austrailan pink floyd shows in the new england area for last 3 years and now ready with open ear for his new music.
Great to hear, finally some good music to listen to again it has been too long. i do hope that D.G. will be making his rounds up to Canada, look forward to dates and the cd.
This is absolutely GREAT, as he can do his own solo stuff plus Floyd stuff, with the right backups, and not miss a beat. I've seen them like 4 times. First time was the Wall tour...I drove from Omaha to L.A. to see Floyd...omg..what a concert....first album I bought was in 1972..had Meddle on a 8 track tape in my VW trippin and starin at the stars...darn...anyway...5 more days til the genius puts out more awesome tunes. What a guitarist. I'll buy it on the 6th. PLEASE come to Omaha, Mr. Gilmore!!!!
He is Pink Floyd looking forward to his new albumn. Heard a cut and it was awesome. Love the new cut. Can't wait for the albumn Continued success David. Jerry Lemos in New Bedford, Mass. I am 55 yrs old and have always followed Pink Floyd. Gilmore great voice and Guitar what can I say. Your great to me.
Could this be the return of Rock 'n Roll from Rappers, Gangsta's and basically untalented folk? We can only hope. That cut with David Crosby and Graham Nash is terrific.
