Hot new band The Human Value are preparing for their UK debut. Their debut single, "Give Me" will be released on September 18th in the UK while their self-titled debut will be released on October 2nd. The band are more a band of Gypsies, with no real home. At the moment they're living on the West Coast in the USA, though they moved to Nashville to record the album. Soon they will pack up and head over to the UK for a tour there.
The band's music has been compared to Siouxsie and the Banshees, Blondie, and the Talking Heds. I think that the music provided by guitarist Hiram, drummer, Lynnae Hitchchock, and vocalist/keyboardist Turu goes back more towards the sound of Jefferson Airplane. The vocals supplied by Turu are very mesmerizing in a Grace Slick "White Rabbit" sort of way. Listening to the songs makes you wonder exactly what kind of mushrooms you just ate. I'm partial to "Nashville #5" and "Kill Pangs."
The band have two more appearances in the US before they head over to UK to tour. The UK tour begins September 4th and runs through November. Check out the tour dates at the official website. You can also check out the video for "Give Me" there.

I heard the single "Give Me". It's awesome. Love the guitar sound and the sexy vocals. This band are from LA (I think). I think they are gonna take off in a big way. N20.
Definitely a grower. "Give Me" has got the grunge factor but still manages to twang sexy. Cute little number comes in a small package just ready to explode. Love the video on YouTube. xoxoxo Shari
Heard the single and am digging it ever since. Ace guitar sound. Singer is dead sexy. This is like a contemporary version of "X". Very cool all around.
Give Me sounds like a Phil Spector production mixed with punk ethos. Kind of like the Shangri-Las meets the Pretenders. Sleek, fine and dangerous. More please.
I saw them at one of their Viper Room gigs in Los Angeles and they are hot! They rocked the socks off of everyone there. I got one of their 7" and it was on clear vinyl! The Human Value are cool through and through.
They are from LA and I have seen them play several times around the scene... they having an AMAZING live show. If you have the opportunity go watch them you will be blown away
Don't mind me, I'm just a guest.
