Rock Star: Supernova has surprising bottom three

Tonight's Rock Star: Supernova put a few suprising people into the bottom three. Two of the three were not in the bottom three before. The person eliminated was no surprise however. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. We have a nice long recap to go through before we get to that!

Brooke Burke announced that the voting this week had doubled from last week. It was also the most votes they had gotten in two seasons of Rock Star. Then we were off to the recap of last night, including Dilana's drama. Back at the mansion after the show everyone toasted to a kick *show. Magni said everyone was at their best, but half will be in the bottom three. Storm hasn't been in the bottom three, but did have to stand up several times. She says you never know what will happen, but Ryan is convinced he or Magni will go home. Storm tries to tell him that he doesn't know what will happen. Lukas said that he hopes he will take it like a man if he's in the bottom three.

Back to the show for the interview section. Dave Navarro congratulated the rockers for the best show they have probably had to date. Talking to Storm Large, Dave tells her that she has stood several times but not had to sing. Yet Storm always seems to want to sing. Storm says that any chance to rock for these guys and with the band is good for her. Dave liked that answer, but wondered what it would feel like to be in the bottom three. Storm said it would be good to get the chance to kick the snot out of something again.

Dave talked to Dilana about friends, asking if they are all friends now. He wonders if it will be hard to say goodbye to anyone. Dilana says it will be extremely hard, like losing a limb. She says she will cry today. They teased her because she didn't really stand up at first when she started talking, then when she did stand it still didn't look like she was standing. Last up was a conversation with Magni about the In Touch photo shoot, as Magni says he hated it. Dave asks him if he realized that's a part of the gig. Magni says he realized it after sitting for four hours. Dave interrupted with something about locations, and Magni teased him telling him not to interrupt him. Magni says he totally had to do that. Dave tells him it's his show sucka. Dave adds that the whole season he's been saying that he has nothing to do with the voting and no influence over Supernova. Dave says he lied.

Jason Newsted said that they have a new Supernova song to sing tonight. I think the title was "It's On" - though I'm not overly sure. Lukas Rossi gets the chance to sing with the band, though I was shocked that we didn't get video of everyone singing it. I wasn't overly fond of the song. Lukas mumbled through a lot of it. He didn't seem to be wearing as much make-up this time either I might add.

Then we had the revelation of who won the Windows Live Spaces contest (Rob Carlos of Seattle). Gilby Clarke announced that the remaining five rockers after tonight would go off to a songwriting clinic with Gilby, where they would get to write a new Supernova song.

This week's encore went to Toby Rand, who once again performed Rebel Yell. This time he didn't pull the teenies up onstage with him, he went out to them. He first went to the rockers platform, then wandered out to the back of the audience. It was a good performance overall.

After the voting started, Ryan Star, Storm Large, and Lukas were in the bottom three. As voting went on, Toby and Dilana joined them in the bottom. Yes, that left Magni as the only person not standing. Dave wondered if Brooke told everyone with hair to stand up. He was surprised, as after last night's performances no one should be standing. Tommy Lee said there was one heck of a party in Iceland right now.

First into the bottom was Ryan, who decided to blow everyone's mind by performing a song by The Who - Baba O'Riley. He got a champagne bottle, brought out by Toby, and shook it up onto the audience. He ran around the stage like a madman convinced it was his last time up there. Gilby didn't look too impressed as Ryan climbed onto the monitors and then jumped off. It was a performance of pure adrenaline.

Next into the bottom three was Storm, who was happy to be in the bottom as she gets to rock again. She decided to perform Helter Skelter, calling it probably one of the first punk rock songs. Storm too performed like she was nuts, running out the the Supernova platform and flopping onto Tommy's lap. She walked back to the stage, then flopped into the audience.

Toby was told he was safe, leaving either Lukas or Dilana to be in the bottom. Dilana was next, leaving Tommy wondering what happened. Dilana said she screwed up and this was her redemption. She performed Psycho Killer by the Talking Heads. Overall it too was a good performance, but one performed like a madwoman.

On to judgement, where Gilby told Ryan that he has come the farthest so far. He isn't the same Ryan that started the competition and the performance tonight was one of the best audience receptions so far. Storm, with her first time in the bottom three, has given some solid performances but hasn't grown much. Dilana has earned so much credit with them so far. Tommy told Ryan that he's the next to go. Dave told Ryan that he's a big fan of him, that he has talent. He said he's the most evolved they have had on the show. Ryan was disappointed, but seemed to know it was coming. He told the band that with him as the lead singer they could have made 20 years of great music and he's sorry for that. He will return to solo music now.

Is it just me or were the performances lacking tonight. They had the performance factor going, but vocally it just didn't pop like last night did. It was good, but by comparison it falls flat. All three of the bottom three performed like they were manic, desperate to stay in the competition.

	Ryan is a true talent. Why he would even consider fronting a band of old 80's hairband has-beens questions his integrity as an artist. Unless he used this stage as a catapult outside the New York scene to the rest of the world? Hmmm... I will be watching for his next solo albulm. Supernova? Who cares.

(No...not defending her) Wouldn't that mean he really was a fake from the beginning? Yes. He only used the Supernova gig to catapult his career and then he belly ached when he was booted out...sore loser. I thought he did have a measure of talent. But God...his last performance was terrible. I had to plug my ears. He made it easy for Supernova to decide who to get rid of. How could they keep someone who could sing beautifully during one performance and then sing so wretchedly the next time. No way!!!! Storm should have thanked Ryan. She remained only because he was awful from the very first note to the last. Even when a singer might have an off day, how could they be that off????? You can't count on someone like that. Even Storm's song done in "wrong sauce" wasn't near as bad as that since it was the arrangement of the song, not the voice, that was 'done in wrong sauce'. Although I must admit I do have a hard time watching her make a fool of herself on stage. Well anyway... Goodbye Ryan. Maybe you should stick to a Recording Studio where you can play with the reverb and synthesizer buttons..."retry"..."cut"...and all of that. No live performances for awhile please!!!!

So the purpose of the competition in finding a Lead singer has - for the voters - more to do with how the person sounds and looks with the band; than what the band thinks about the individuals trustworthyness. To allow the media to sway your opinion of a person based on some highly edited interviews and hyped up emotional responses - to things which don't pertain to the music - is ignorant. The essential question is: Had they not shown the interviews with media would people would still hold their original opinion or react in the same disapproving/unfavorable way to the poorer music performace causing Dilana to loose ground?

	Ryan Star sighting: He was on The Soup on E! last night and made fun of himself. He did a whole little bit with the host about how hard his life would be now that he'd been kicked off and then was mobbed by girls who wanted to do nasty things with him. It was cute. Dilana did sing her own name, again? I was kidding with my comment, never imagining that she would be so delusional to work her name into a song twice. Guess I underestimated the depth and breth of her massive ego. Too funny!

	It is really hard at this point; as only good rockers are left. I personally think it will be Toby, Lukas, or Dilana. Storm is just in because she looks good and although I really like Magni, I think he lacks what it takes to bring the band home.

	Wow, big mistake I shouldn't have logged in � I just added more fuel to my inner fire and timing sucks! Ok, I was out of country for a few days and I am still not totally equipped mentally to contribute much, but I am really surprised at the Dilana fans� reactions, and I could not remain silent. I don�t care about reactions of the people who never were her fans � I mean to each their own, but I noticed mostly everywhere that fans of other contestants just got a licence to kick the so called b!tch, when she was down. Although it�s not fair, I guess that it�s ok! We all do it! I emerged out of my cocoon to set some records straight! As far as Dilana�s Drama is concern, there is much more to it! Also I could not read one more reaction stating how Dilana is all those fantastic adjectives. I am really shocked to note how her fans turned, but that�s Mark Burnett�s formula, so I am more pissed at Mark Burnett Productions than anyone else! And let me add that I have never been so angry regarding any television show in my life! I am here to request that Dilana fans stop and think for a second, without Mark Burnett Production interfering and realize that there is more to the story than what meets the eye! Here�s a fact, on reality television what we see is only what they want us to see. One must realize that Reality Show is around thirty minutes of four nights � Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday! So a lot can happen in almost 96 hours and we get to see thirty minutes � do the math � I hate doing it yet I just did! Also, taping of the show on Sunday and Wednesday is not one hour! What really surprised me a lot is how memory becomes selected and then is moulded by the so called reality due to the editing! So here�s my take on fall of Dilana! Ok, in Vegas, when Dilana got cocky and told Tommy that she is the one. I was impressed, because unlike Lukas, who in the first week proclaimed his intention to his fellow rockers that he is there for a win, she had the gall to say that to Tommy, right to his face! Do we really know if she was serious or joking? � Remember, it was a party in which Lukas and Toby passed out and to think Dilana didn�t drink would be a long shot! Come on, Mel Gibson is in more trouble for saying things in a drunken state. So why judge Dilana so harshly at the party? I frankly felt then that the gender card played a major role in that episode! When a male rocker says something like this � it is considered awesome and confident, but when a female does it, she is a bitch? Moreover, here�s what I don�t understand the reaction of viewers, just because she said that � Tommy did not hear her and make up his mind � the competition is still on! So, I don�t get what the fuss is about � hasn�t everyone stated at different times that they joined the audition to win? As they should might I add! Last year, J.D. was projected in worse light and I will give million credits to his faithful fans that they stood by him no matter what, unlike this year! Unfortunately, this is where Dilana stood out as an easy target � Remember J.D.�s comment of how he knew INXS� songs after the first encore and the evil edit after that � same formula here! Well, the good thing is I finally understand J.D. Fans � so that�s good, I guess! Next the interview bit � It is so easy to forget � last year MiG also criticized J.D. in press, although since he is a sweetheart, he apologized and made several brownie points! I agree that a lot of grief could have been averted, if Dilana would have remained quiet! But as she said she didn�t knew better and I for one believe her! However, since not a single soul on any sites have defended Dilana, except Dilana, I am going to do that and I am not here to argue, I am going to just state what I know and let people decide, frankly, she is no cousin of mine that I would get anything out of doing so, but since I am her fan, I think she has got a raw deal � worse than J.D. and I for one knowing the facts am not going to remain quiet! I don�t see how Dilana was wrong in any statements she made in press! I mean come on, if people are going to tell me that what she said was untrue � I will eat a humble pie! Lukas � I faithfully recorded each word that emerged from his mouth as well as his mannerisms and I will prove his hypocrisy in just a bit, but try and think back � the group song-writing clinic � he not only frustrated his own group, but also interfered with Magni�s group by constantly going to their room for beer! This is just one example of his eccentric behaviour and if I would have been Dilana I would have strangled Lukas physically a long time ago, unlike her, who just mentioned she would like to do that. Oh, yeah and just to mention a second, please remember him interfering with Ryan, when Ryan was writing his original song. So Dilana b!tched about him to press, how is that a sin? I mean we all see what Lukas is like! Dilana�s comment would have mattered if we had no clue what Lukas is like! Lukas fans should remember that Dilana was the one who challenged Lukas to go for Creep, his best as far as I am concerned. However, no one will give such credits because it is easier that way! Moving on� On this very site, my dear friend Curlio and few others could not wait to see Patrice leave, because she was boring and so how is Dilana wrong? She was right � Patrice did not belong there after so many bombed performances! Toby � Say what you will, but record a fact that Dilana unwittingly promoted him from lacklustre performer to a superstar! I did not agree with Dilana that Toby was not taking this seriously; however, I can totally see where that came from! Toby and Lukas beer binge � etc � I can�t comment much as I don�t make up stories, but I think Toby is doing really great after her comment � you are free to disagree! Magni � Oy! This one though true to an extent turned me off as well! Leave the bloody family business out of professionalism Dilana � here, even I criticize you! Ok, that said � let�s go to Ryan�s Original � the comments back at mansion! How many remember Paul from the House Band telling us that Ryan micro managed them and was controlling? Now, here�s the beauty of editing! Dilana was a bitch from what was shown � I agree! But here�s another way I see it, her comment about the House Band might not be irrelevant � because I know how the group dynamics work � do we know that Paul did not b!tch to other rockers about Ryan? I mean he b!tched about it to the audience! So I can totally see how that conversation might be cut and pasted, however, I agree going by the edit � she was a b!tch, but I believe that it was edited and here�s why! Ok, this is Rock Star Supernova � Not Rock Star Dave Navarro! Frankly, unlike last year, this year Dave�s contribution to this is almost next to nothing � Interestingly, he is one of the producers � so I found it very queer that he was the only one bothered about Dilana�s comment about Ryan! My friend was very much there and she confirmed that no member of Supernova contributed to this line of questioning! Remember this � because in just a few minutes � this will be important! Next, she was grilled about the Press Clinic � Again � Only Dave had words of criticism � no member of Supernova said a word! Now I am thinking if someone is auditioning for my group and goes out of line � I would at least have a word or two to say about it. So why did Tommy, Gilby and Jason keep their mouth shut? Many commented that Dilana was not sincere with her apology. If you think you are frank and are stating your own truth � it is tough to feign apology, because in your mind you are right. Dilana may be a contestant later � much later � but she is a human being and I am really tired of reading Anti � Dilana comments! The Emancipation of Dilana was television at its worst! Ryan had some nerve to preach Dilana about how he does not criticize anyone! He criticized Dana and Zayra more than once, but who wants to remember that � correct? It was so uncomfortable that I frankly thought that it would have been better if I hadn�t watched it. I am glad that Magni was not seriously injured, but frankly I have never seen glass fly like that � has anyone else? That was an accident - * Lukas, because he made a mountain of a mole hill! Here�s the * hypocrisy of Lukas � He went on and on about how Dilana has to live with her mistakes and the consequences! Then after Magni was hurt � he was the one who talked about the eye, frankly that just added more fuel. All this after preaching that one should not b!tch! Lukas � Press or Camera � "B!TCHING IS B!TCHING!" It�s not over by the way, wait for it! Many said that Dilana recovered quickly during the photographic clinic, but the fact is she had the rough most session as she broke down numerous times and rushed to the restroom to fix her face and calm her mind! So please, no one has any idea what state she was in! Ok, on performance night � this bit was played over and over again � it was so infuriating that I muted the clips � MBP really saw to it that no one forgets Dilana and her meltdown! So after the clip was shown � Brooke asked Dave what his reaction was! At this point, Jason blew up, before Dave could say a word, by calling the reality episode total bull manure and added that they (Supernova) knew what really happened and he said that Dilana did not deserve such treatment (on and off camera)! Here�s the best part, Lukas jumped to Dilana�s defence and said that Reality Show indeed showed Dilana in a harsher light � coming from a guy, who basically made big deals out of everything we saw Dilana do � see the web-episode again, if I am wrong! And if this is not hypocrisy - I don't know what is! Magni said that he had a superficial wound and that his injury was exaggerated. Storm, the darling she is, stated that this was Rock Star Supernova � not Rock Star Soap Opera and they all have decided to move on� So after such a strong opposition � Dave had no other choice, but to sing that same tune. Obviously, Jason�s comments on Reality Show being Bull manure would have never made it to the television, but see that there is a gap between Brooke�s question and Dave�s answer. So now at the end I would just say this � at least Dilana said and did whatever in front of our eyes. However, we all saw what we were shown! This is in no way a note to state that everyone should forgive and forget Dilana and love her. Far from it! I had just one purpose, to state the obvious that was not shown at home. People can make up their own minds! Oh, I know very well that people will question the authenticity of my facts � to them I suggest to Google and Search for �Rock Star Supernova + Performance�. I have checked all the facts � so if you don�t believe me, be my guest! This actually can be an article named Emancipation of Demon Dilana! Many thanks to momROCKS � I cannot tell you how happy I am that you took over � absolutely amazing job. Couldn�t have done it better myself and I mean that sincerely! She did grow on me a bit, but I went back to see what my first reaction to the singers were on the first show:momROCKS : Ryan Star-ok Toby Rand- I liked, reminds me of Black Sorrows, nice sound. Patrice Pike- Nice job Magni...not sure I liked him, little stiff Zayra...no no no no no no no no...she sucked! Jenny Galt....no no also sucked, only the guys along the stage are voting for her and her skirt! Josh Logan- Liked him, but can you see him with Tommy Lee? 	Sprout, our Prince, missed you brother. Hope we didn't to pre-maturely coax you from you business. Again, I hope you soon achieve your well deserved peace. I will E my peeps soon as I emerge from my hospital stay. I am not a Dilana fan, but much of your argument would in court raise reasonable doubt. Have I, in any way, been unfair to the lass, then I too give a heartfelt apology. I however think her whole persona and singing is way over rated. All could be personal taste. But, I have a sense their is much validity in our general mistrust or questions of character. I dealt with the constant maligning of Kellie Pickler in Idol and Suzie in RSINS and most of the complaints were that they were "horribly blonde", the horror, the horror (to quote you). I passed your post onto Bill Lanta, of Atlanta, a terrific music blogger and writer, he has voiced many such feelings. Good work or words are a beautiful thing whether yours or mine. I hope to be back in a while( tomorrow my last day of freedom for a while, at least I get to see the reality show. I probably will loose my position on the RSGH contest cause I will vote ahead of time.) But, some things are for fun, others survival. I think we need to do a magazine, an interview mag with you doing the interviewing and writing and I as a watchdog, photo editor, and think tank hombre and you the graphic and overall designer artist. 	All this week I have wanted Toby to win. That was until I heard Toby's band Juke Kartel (jukeKartel.com). this band kicks serious butt and I love it. I hope now he comes second as hisd band has much better songs than Supernova. People will be suprised when Toby sings an original...now I have heard songs he whas wrote...they are amazing!!!!!

Thanks for that guest. You probably didn't go off my advice but i've said a while back that people should listen to his bands stuff, its awesome. And ill be honest I had the same idea because there is one heck of a fall back for him if he doesnt win it. But I think purely for the exposure and everything else that will come with the gig it will be much better if he wins. Do Australia proud young man. Also if Curlio or another superviser gets to read this- do u guys need someone to recap the week 10 webisode cause ill put my hand up and do it if you guys need someone too. 	Just seen the webisode for week 11!!!! With the song writing clinic I'll say that Toby's stock has risen ten fold. I am soooo keen to watch the double sets from the rockers this week.

	I do not believe that Dilana should win this competition. Of course she apologized for everything she said, bit I , for one, do not believe her. When Dave was asking everyone if they would be upset when one of them gets voted off, she was shaking her head "NO" until he confronted her. Then of course she said "oh it would be like losong a limb" Who is she kidding. She will continue to bash her peers...she will never change.

	Just checked-out jukeKartel.com (Toby's band), wow, his originals are very-very good. I really-really like half of the songs posted there. Man, you guys should check it out.. I will probably suggest choose songs from the bottom up. Really cool!!

We are Stardust!
	From Dave's site for my peeps. Will The Tuesday Show Tuesday is going to be a heck of a show. Everyone brought something special to their performances. You all know I have my favorites, but to be honest, at this point I don't have a clue as to who is going to win this thing. Luckily, we will see yet another contestant up there with Supernova on Wednesday. We know what Dilana, Lukas and Toby feel like up there with those guys, but I'd like to see Storm and Magni up there too. It only seems like the fair way to gauge at this level. Everybody has proven that they can do cover songs really well. Song writing? Well, that is another issue entirely. There are five originals on the Tuesday show in addition to five covers. Basically, they do a two song set each. Although it is not my job to critique their song writing skills, I would have to say that there are some that are good, and some that are just kind of... "Eh." I'll tell you this. No matter how good or bad a song is, The House Band makes them sound amazing, sonically. I mean, those guys are so darn good that they can take anything and make it sound rad. You guys be the judges of the originals. I was unimpressed with one in particular, impressed with others and actually blown away by one. All I can say without giving too much away is that as much as I liked Ryan, Supernova may have known what they were doing all along on the last elimination show. So, you have a 50/50 shot and figuring out what I'm getting at. It's all good, though, Ryan has a huge following and like Zayra, hasn't wasted any time getting going on his solo career. No doubt that The Dark Horse will ride again. If you haven't watched the online reality show I suggest you do. There is a lot of heat regarding Dilana's "screw you to the fans" comment. I can't figure out what she could have possibly meant. Part of me wants to think that she was referring to the haters online and that it ACCIDENTALLY CAME OUT WRONG (I had to cap that, because it is evident by some comments that I didn't type it loud enough!), but then again, that girl really need to learn to think before she opens her mouth. She does go on to say that she needs her fans later in the episode, so it is more than a little confusing in terms of where the heck she is coming from. Onstage I think she is amazing, but off stage, she has the potential to really piss off a lot of people. It seemed that she was redeeming herself from a couple of weeks ago, but I really think that she may have signed her own Supernova Death Certificate with this one. I am curious to see what happens because I have always wondered how much of an impact the online episodes have on the voting. Control-Alt-Delete. Also, there is a new Supernova track in the reality show online. It is definitely my favorite of all the material we have heard from them. I am hoping they do that one on Wednesday. The guitar riff is pretty sick.
