Rock Star: Supernova - Time to Pack up

Here we go, the Final Rock Star: Supernova Webisode. Recap of last week - Dilana powered through the pain of a torn leg muscle to deliver Super Soul. Magni got the crowd going with his original. Storm Large showed What is Lady Like, (with Tommy Lee intensely into her song). Lukas Rossi showed his intensity with You Make My Head Spin. Toby Rand's catchy tune was an instant hit with the crowd. Toby was given the encore and the new car! Moving on to the elimination, it was Lukas's first time in the bottom three. He was the first sent back to sit down. Now, the two girls were still standing. Tommy Lee didn't have the heart to do the Tommy-hawk job, so he handed the torch to Jason Newsted, who told Storm she was heading home to sleep in her own bed.

Back at the mansion, Toby is in disbelief that he won the car. The rockers toast Storm, and talk about how great of a person she is. Toby tells the other three, I don't know about you but I loved living with Storm. The rest chimed in "Me Too". Lukas says Live Large, Magni says she is Larger than life. Magni toasts the top four. He is so happy he got to play on stage with Supernova. Jason is one of his heroes, how could he not be happy?

Lukas thinks it's crazy that one of them will be the lead singer with SN. Dilana chimes in with the same sentiment. Magni heads to the piano to take a break. Dilana hops over and squeezes him to move over while he's playing. Toby secretly hands Dilana a small cake, and she smears it into Magni's face for having the encore. Magni just keeps playing with icing on his face.

Poolside, the four sit checking out the view, and guess who walks up, MIG AYESA. He hands Toby the keys to his new car! They go out to the car, the back is open on the Honda Element and Mig jumps in the back to demonstrate how it can be a portable stage. Toby says Mig is a funny little man, with painted on pants. Magni was amazed Mig could actually stand in the back. Toby couldn't believe the car was his, he did check the mileage, eight miles, to make sure no one had taken it for a spin.

Next the four and Mig are seated on the pool deck again. Mig is telling the group, one is going to front SN but there are three that will not. He says of the three remaining he would love to tell them they will go out and get million dollar recording deals, but in reality they are not. But they have every opportunity to make it work for them. Mig tells how he just signed a recording deal with Universal and has an album that's finished and will be out in January. Mig departs the mansion.

Lukas says when Mig started talking about the three that would not win. Lukas said right then "beep" his mind shut it out, he wouldn't have come into this if he didn't plan on winning. He wasn't there for third or second place.
We end this segment with Toby: "I got a *in' car".

Inside the mansion, the finale four find portraits of themselves on the wall with the SN bands memorabilia. Toby's picture was when he was on stage with the girls during Rebel Yell. Toby points to the picture and says, that girl is from Melbourne. Magni laughs and says, how do you know? Toby says, That's Ashley, Magni OMG he knows their names. Toby says he's just been having parties on stage.

The picture of Lukas was from Creep. Each picture captured their personalities. Magni was bent over in a scream. Dilana was in her hoodie sweatshirt in a scary pose. Toby says, he loves to be amongst the people, Magni is just intense, Lukas is a showman, and Dilana is just this scary mysterious chick. Lukas says it captured them as they truly are. Magni said they got a lot of stuff, phones, clothes, cars...those are just things, but the photo will be with him forever. Toby picked on Lukas about the way Lukas' face was contorted in the picture, he said it was humanly impossible to do that. Then they all tried.

For song selection there sits a foot tall stack of every song from the show. Lukas reads the letter that says here it is the final show, they will be performing their original song again. The second song will be their choice from the 150 or so songs in this season's library. They were happy, and took the stack to the pool deck to go through and hash out who wants which song. Magni asks, Who doesn't want to do Duran Duran? Matt I still love you. The four went through the songs remembering who sang them. Toby says he'll take Zayra's song 8675309, Dilana says he has to wear Zayra's outfit if he does that song, Toby says yeah, totally. Don't Panic, Toby and Magni mimic Lukas singing the song. Lukas says to Toby here's something for you, Karma Police, Toby says he wants that one. Magni says he has Comfortably Numb, Lukas says YEAH and Dilana wants Magni to play it so she can hear it. Lukas says he wants it and Dilana yells Dude. They start to hash it out, Lukas states he gives in and hasn't fought for a song and always has taken the other song. Dilana cries some more about how it's the only one she wants. Lukas states this is the last selection and it's the most important one of all. He grew up on Comfortably Numb. Magni asks about Fix You and Lukas says he already did Coldplay. Magni plays Fix You on the guitar. After singing along Lukas gives in one more time and says Dilana can have the song, he'll take Fix You. He says he didn't want to fight and she can have it, EVS. If you can't sing every song, and we literally had every song, why are you here? Lukas asks.

Back to the table, Dilana asks for Roxanne to check out the lyrics, Toby tells her do Comfortably Numb babe. Dilana picks Roxanne after taking Comfortably Numb from Lukas. Bitch, yes, it's still all about Dilana. Then she whines about having to do it right because it's a classic. Magni says that's ok, someone already screwed that one up on the show. Dilana asks Lukas if he wants Comfortably Numb back, he says no. Then she proceeds into an all about me spiel, when she saw the choice of Roxanne in the first few weeks she would have never chose that song. She is elated she made the choice of doing Roxanne, then states she hopes SN loves it and it wasn't a stupid move on her part. Dilana says she can't believe she's doing two Sting songs on the show, Magni comes in with well you haven't yet. Dilana, "I can't believe I'm doing Roxanne, dude, is there something wrong with me?" Magni: "Yes".

Off to the rehearsal studios. Lukas singing Fix You. He tells us how the song is sad and it reminds him of his relationship with his father. If his father hears, he wants his dad to know he's thinking bout him, and just try to fix what ever was broken.

Dilana tells the band how she wants the song arranged. She wants to do an unplugged version. Dilana tells us they are going to show Chris Pierson how to do this song now. Then she tells us how Chris screwed up rearranging a classic hit, and how it was a mistake. She won't mess up the song. Paul comes on and isn't too sure of the way Dilana wants to change the song. The band looks bored and in pain while she changes the song. Paul states the way she wants them to play it, he personally doesn't care for it. Music is subjective, but she believes in it, she likes it. Dilana tells us she is not screwing the song up and she has total confidence in it.

Toby plays his acoustic guitar and sings Karma Police through the next segment. Magni packing tells us he will miss hanging out with these guys, but, he is going home and he misses those people as well. Jump to Dilana packing, she says it's sad they may never see each other again. She loves these guys, they are like her brothers, the family she never had, so she now has a family. To Lukas packing: Lukas says all he wants to pack up are the memories and take them along with him. It's all overwhelming and it's over in a few days. Someone's life is going to change for the better. Then music still playing, Toby packs his Aussie flag. Toby says looking back this has been the best time of his life. But he's keeping his eyes on the prize, his focus is to front SN.

Dilana doesn't want to think about this being the end, it's so emotional, she wishes it could go on forever. Cut to the pool the four rockers stand at the end leaning on their Gibson guitars in their cases, just taking in the mansion they are leaving. Magni says he got to play with SN and it's out of his hands now, it's up to SN. It ends with Dilana stating she needs Supernova, and Supernova needs her. Let's go! The rockers leave the pool deck, guitars and bags in hand. Lukas comes on and states he's absolutely ready to win this. He wouldn't have come here if he didn't think he was the right person for the job. Toby says he feels like he's climbing toward joining SN. The song ends and so does part three.

Part four, clips of the rockers from last week.
The four back on the pool deck, Dilana spanking Toby with her crutch. Toby yells "OH do it again." A new scene and Toby is trying to give Dilana a drink of beer from his glass and ends up wearing it. Someone says we love you hop along as Dilana jumps along the pool and then jumps in. Followed by Magni and toby jumping in. Toby has Dilana over his shoulder, with her *in his ear he says "let's cook some bacon." as he tries to put her foot in one of the torches. But Dilana stops him by putting her hands down the back of his pants. Jump to the two of them in the pool, shaking hands, Toby says "I can see it". Dilana says "I can see yours". Then Toby says he's surprised because he didn't think she was a girl. Magni says Where the heck is Lukas, Cut to Lukas snoring on his bed.

	MomROCKS, Excellent re-cap! Clear and very accurate through my drugfog! Very interested in the results show and how that will unfold. I wish we knew exactly how the unfolding would proceed. I know that many think the reality shows are dramatically edited at the least and I am sure of that also but, couldn't a four hour show that they edit for Tues evening be just as prejusticial? To me the reality show is at least half of the experience and possibly more, and the web site is the best support for a TV show I have seen. It fortells the future. Tonights show was especially interesting to me. Dilana is mighty playful in her red panties and bra in the pool area, it makes the "casting down of the crutches" on stage just a tinnie tiney bit more intesting. Poor deluded child. Will

	Thanks Will, glad to see you're on here with us. Watching the show I was pissed when Dilana played her game and got the song away from Lukas, then tosses it aside. She just didn't want Lukas doing the song....was she afraid he would be too good at it? I can't wait for the show!!

	Thanks heaps for the recap! It won't air here for another 7 1/2 hours. So glad we're getting the final show live... I would have thought Dilana would have switched back to concentrating on making herself the best she can be, rather than trying to sabotage others. Doesn't she realise that's what put her in the bottom three to start with?

	Yeah for MomRocks! Excellent recrapping! Yeah for Will! Glad you made it through and I predict only clear skies ahead! I read that Tommy Lee said on Regis & Kelly that they had picked a winner. Webisode seems to give Toby the best light . . . he seemed to be the star to me as I read correct me if I'm wrong MR Sigh . . . I don't want it to end. It's so long until January when AI begins. Go Magni though I know Toby will win.

	Can't believe its all coming to an end. Dilana will fall first followed by Magni and its up to Toby and Lukas. Ive heard alot of info that SN want Lukas to win so therefore I wont bet on Toby even though I reckon he's the best. We get it live here in Aus at 10 on Thursd mornin which is awesome! Cheers for the recappin over the show and may the best MAN win.

	If I read the articl above it like Dilana will sing Roxanne. That has already been done and not to well. I would love to hear Lukas sing Pink Floyd, Comfortably Numb. Did I understand that Dilana took that away from him and then decided on Roxanne. Give me a break!!!!!!!! I wanted her to win,but, I think she is too tempermental. However, I do love her voice. I hate to see the show end and can't wait to see if we have another rock show next year. I am 7l yrs old and love the show.(honest)

I expect those who like Dilana, will love it. I think they are beyond the harsh criticism on the show. So I guess it doesn't matter. And the bit with Lucas did seem to be "selected" not "edited". Will Yes, Nikki and glad to be home with my sisterwoman!

	From Dave's Blog, for my peeps. Will The Tuesday Show Tonight is our second to last Rockstar episode... Tomorrow is the finale and then that's it. This blog goes back to the way it was, I focus on music (after a week's vacation somewhere), the photo exhibit, radio, The Product and touring. Tonight on the show, we hear the remaining four do a cover and their originals again. Also, the winner of the online vote for a return performance comes back to do a song. Pretty basic stuff. There is one bit of online speculation that is kind of fun to address, if nothing else. Once again it comes from Janet Charlton: "Judging by his past badmouthing of this site, Dave Navarro isn't going to like the following piece of information ONE BIT. Despite Dave's protestations, readers of this site already KNOW who the winner of Rockstar Supernova will be. We have another tidbit of incriminating evidence to reveal: Promotional photos have ALREADY BEEN TAKEN of the winner with his new band!" Oh, Janet... I never bad mouthed your site! However, when gossip bloggers become pseudo online celebs, it's only obvious that they will wake up one morning in a glass house. I will give Janet this... She does have pictures of herself on her site and contact info. If a gossip columnist is willing to be that available, then they are in my book, a notch above all the others. In fact, I think that entertainment critics should be obligated to have their picture and a list of their top 5 favorite films, book and records made available. That way, we can decide if we even give a * where they are coming from. Anyway, back to the point. Janet says promotional pictures have been taken. In this digital age where we can crank out pictures in about 30 seconds and have them up and online in about 10, why would anyone even bother going through a charade such as that? In fact, what would be the point in scamming the public anyway? The Supernova guys have the final word either way. They can choose, three months ago or tomorrow and have the exact same outcome. Someone gets eliminated tomorrow and then we will have a final three, one of which Supernova chooses as their singer. At this point, I am over all the gossip, conspiracy and rumor surrounding the show. It's just fun for me to watch and comment on from time to time. Think what you want to think. You think it's fixed? Fine. You think certain contestants were misrepresented? OK. Awesome! After tonight's episode, my ON AIR job is pretty much done. No more comments or critiquing to do. Tomorrow, I just kick it on the couch, watch it unfold just like the viewers at home and check out Supernova do some songs with their new singer. As far as speculations go, I still stand behind where I was a few days ago. I think that Lukas and Dilana have the best shots at winning this thing. I think they are both unique and edgy with killer voices and could both do the job extremely well. Even though Toby and Magni are arguably better singers in some ways, there are certain elements that I think they lack in order to fill the position. Frankly, to me, they are just less compelling to watch on stage. The good news is all of them are more than likely going to be on the tour in some capacity... 	well well well , finally its the big day. TWO WORDS - DILANA ROCKS . She is not a manipulative bi*ch that everyone seems to think she is . she is fighting for a song she likes and wants to sing. I seriously hope that she does a good job on roxanne because if she does not, she will most probably be sent home . As usual MAGNI SUX SUX SUX. I really hope he leaves first. at this point i don't mind either lukas toby or dilana winning - but not MAGNUS THE FOOL .Can't u guys send him back to the ice cave that he came from ? tc

	I liked Dilana in the beginning but what changed my mind about her wasn't so much the fact that she trashed all her fellow competitors, although I did think that was low class, but what bugs me about her is ever since she got spanked for her behavior she's been holding this pity party for herself. I think she should have accepted her spanking and then moved past it but SHE keeps it in the forefront. Also, I don't have a problem with her fighting for a song BUT I do have a problem with fighting for a song and then tossing it away and choosing something else like she did to Lukas this week. She's trying to play some kind of mind game and it will backfire on her because, in my opinion, no matter what song Lukas does he makes it his own.

	Great recap MR! I too am a bit blue, knowing that after tomorrow night, it'll be Jan. before this will all start up again. (Although Nicole and I still have Flavor of Love2) I am excited about the show tonight. Is tonight when the voted off contestant gets to sing or tomorrow? Aw it doesn't matter, it'll be here in a few hours!

	When the contestants are talking one on one with the camera to us is the camera man feeding them questions or are they told that it is a little confessional and they can say what they want? Is this where the editing really plays a part. The other contestants don't appear to be excluding or being nasty to her in retaliation to her pity party. I am sure they wouldn't put up with that crap and we are the only ones who have to.

	Probably a bit of both. I'm sure they're being asked questions about what's going on at the mansion, how song selection went, etc. I don't think any of them have been negative about Dilana's pity party, but I seem to recall one of them sort of mentioning it in some of the individual comments. Nothing negative, just more like "Dilana is still stuck on what happened two weeks ago, she needs to do what she can to get it out her mind."

	I can't believe how hooked on Supernova I have become. I didn't even watch week 1. I promised myself I would not watch the Tuesday (Reality - we run a day late) show, and was only taking a casual interest in who would get to front these awesome musicians. Over the weeks I became very patriotically loyal - "I HAVE to see how the aussie's doing" - and got caught up in all the dramas - "what does Dilana think she's doing???" - and now I am at the point where I can't even wait for the episodes of any night to reach here, I have to run to this site to see each recap when I think it might be up (yes, especially the reality shows). I am so eagerly waiting the recap for the final performance show, and am so grateful to the team at Curlio.com for being so prompt in getting them out.

Goo, you have just voiced how I felt about this show. I am not the kind that follow any show so "patriotically" (using your word) until I watched this show. To me personally, this show is so much better than American Idol. I think the reason is what Dave have said, these guys are true musicians/artists. They all can play all kinds of instruments, write their own songs, and not just sing. In short, great talents, plus I love rock songs! :)

I think it was great on the webisode that Toby played Karma Police while they packed - partly because I don't think he's shown he can play guitar a lot, but mostly because it just fitted so well with the scene (my partner told me I HAD to write that, but thankfully I agree - otherwise I wouldn't have written it).

	I read this Blog every week from New Zealand to get the heads up on the show as it screens later than the USA and I must say I have really liked the sum up of the show. On to business though, to sum up , Dilana is my pick of best point of difference and should win the show. The personality has nothing to do with what you like listening to. Did you complain that Jimmy H was taking drugs and not listen to his music because of it ... NO! So quite the bitching , Dilana is the best voice to make SN worth a listen. I am wondering what they will call the band now though but who cares its been a cool show to watch. Toby is a aussie rocker and sounds to far away from a cool rockband singer, Lucas , what do I say , a word begining with W comes to mind, Magni hmm nice try and deserves to be in the final but not win it. I will be voting for the big D all the way as I have done every week , she stood out as the best from the get go without a doubt. Anyone out there that dumps her because of the way she is edited as being is WRONG wrong wrong... Go dilana cheers P
