 Beer company defend music event sponsorship curlio

Money Matters The Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs is among the groups calling for an end to alcohol companies sponsoring music events in England. It seems there is concern that the sponsorship of concerts by beer companies in increasing the tendency of British teens to consume alcohol.
The ACMD report says British children are some of the biggest cannabis, alcohol and tobacco users in Europe.

"Over the last 10 to 12 years, particularly among young women, our consumption of alcohol has virtually doubled," said the council's chairman, Dr Laurence Gruer
Meanwhile the beer companies say that without their sponsorship many cultural events wouldn't have the funding they required to carry on.
