The Who getting their own Sirius Radio Station

First the Who was webcasting live performances on the internet, but as the lead singer didn't like the concept of it, they pulled the plug. Now the Who has a deal with Sirius Satellite to air recordings of their shows, and also some of the unreleased live shows.  but the band is now back on the air thanks to a deal with Sirus Satellite Radio.
The parties announced on Thursday the launch of the Who Channel, which will debut September 21 and run for a limited, undisclosed period of time.

Of course this is a bit weird, as the web-casts were also a direct line to all the fans, and Townhend has been quoted saying;"This is the most exciting thing I can imagine ... our own radio channel, straight to our fans". They already had that the lead singer didn't like it. Now that they have an own radio station and get money for it, however people have to subscribe for Sirius before they can listen to the station. Which means the internet was a much more direct way to the fans.
Apparently sometimes the money still comes before the fans.
