One year after appearing on the first season of Rock Star, INXS and their new lead singer JD Fortune are parting ways . . . with their record company. Sorry y'all everyone expected JD to be the one leaving, I just had to be ambiguous enough to imply that. It was fun.

Okay, on with business. INXS have left their record label, Epic Records, in North America. The band is signed with Sony in their home country of Australia.

"Switch" has sold a respectable 375,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The single "Pretty Vegas" opened at No. 37 on the Billboard Hot 100, the highest debut of the band's career.

INXS recently canceled their European tour dates to allow Tim Farriss time to recover from surgery.

Since INXS is signed with Sony BMG in Australia, I wonder if they will move to Sony BMG in North America as well.

	european tour dates cancelled??? As a british fan, with tickets to their gig in Glasgow, Would I not have been told of the cancellation?

	Has anyone ever seen the actual Neilsen Ratings for Rock Star - INXS and Rock Star no colon Supernova?

	The finals of Rock Star: Supernova was 16th of the week with 4.6 viewers according to Nielsen Media for Sept. 11-Sept. 17. (Which is if I remember correctly roughly at least 2 million viewers less than Rockstar:INXS) edit: dusty - 2006-09-22 19:20:06 GMT -
