Accounts  News   Interactive    Collective     Contact  Rock Star: Supernova becomes Rock Star Supernova curlio     2006-09-21 20:57:03 Billboard       As was announced last week, the band calling themselves Supernova on the CBS series Rock Star: Supernova lost their name to a band who had been known as Supernova for quite a few years. TV Supernova were allowed to finish out the series with the name, but had to find a new name. Now the group, featuring Tommy Lee, Gilby Clarke, Jason Newsted, and new singer Lukas Rossi, has picked their new name. They will be called Rock Star Supernova (no colon). The band's album is due out on November 21st. They will kick off their tour on December 31st in Las Vegas. I wonder how that is setting with Supernova? They should be happy it gave them good media coverage! That's how the system works...Patents, trademarks, copyrights...you only have to make slight changes and you've got around all the legal stuff. We went through the whole process and expense of a patent. Easy changes were made to the blueprint and they copied our part anyway, and there is nothing we could do, unless we'd had a very deep pocket!
