 Band's MySpace page gets hacked dusty

Webcam / Internet The MySpace page from the band Magneta Lane got hacked early monday morning. All the songs from them got deleted, all friends got removed and the comments from the last 2 years all got deleted aswell.
"We originally had it as '*,' but we changed it to 'dicksmack' because we thought it would have more impact," singer Lexi Valentine joked on Monday, adding that roughly 7,000 MySpace friends were deleted from the account.

And this immediately shows why myspace isn't a real replacement for a band's real website. With a "real website" they would have had backups and everything could have been restored within a few hours.

On the other hand this could all be a scam, and might actually have been themselves to get more media attention. (if so, it worked!)

Yeah, but this deletion of their site got them so much more publicity than anything they could have done with their own site, ever.
