Okay, this recap is going to be short and sweet. Host Hussein Kuwajerwala began the episode by saying that all the judges thought that this elimination would be a hard decision. The judges, Javed Akhtar, Alisha Chinai, and Udit Narayan, all named their pick as to who should be out in this episode:
Anu Malik was up. First, he praised Bhavin Dhanak, saying that he was focused on nothing else but his singing and that he had not seen a better performance in Indian Idol. He moved to Amit Paul, who he thought could have sung better. He was in tune, but the soul was missing.
Surprisingly, Suhit Gosain was told that he did well and was not out of sur in one place. Apparently, Anuji’s sickness has seeped into his earbuds too. What the crap?! Then he told Meiyang Chang that he was very scared for him.
His bottom four: Chang, Amit, Rehaan
Hussein told Rehaan Khan he was in the bottom four. Emon Chatterjee was declared safe (yay!). Emon said that he was very sad for Rehaan because he sang well.
Okay, I wanted to scream when Suhit was declared safe. I hate the feeling that something like this is making me so mad and I can’t actually express my anger in a way that will make a difference. People suck. They’re going to suck more by the time we get to the end of the eliminations. So I’ve decided to change my attitude. The people can keep voting for him and make him Indian Idol. We all know he’s going to have the same, if not worse, fate than the last Indian Idol. All the good ones go out early anyways. So to the people of India: I dare you to make this guy your Idol. Seriously. He’s going to disappear in the blink of an eye once this show is over, so enjoy him while you can.
Then Parleen Gill was declared safe.
Amit was in the bottom four.
And then came the moment in which I almost cried. Bhavin was in the bottom four. Everyone was stunned. Emon’s jaw literally dropped. I think even Bhavin himself was shocked. I know I was fuming, as were some other members on this site.
Then it was between Prashant Tamang and Abhishek Kumar. One of them was safe and one of them was in the danger zone. The people had saved Abhishek and Prashant was in the bottom four.
Uditji said that the janta will make the right decision, but he wants Prashant to stay. Alisha was rooting for Bhavin. Javedsaab also endorsed Prashant.
So the moment of truth: Prashant was safe.
This means that Bhavin, Amit, and Rehaan were eliminated. At this point, Abhishek was sobbing because Bhavin was out.
Rehaan said that it was a big deal for him that he reached this far. He won’t get upset.
Amit was really happy to have gotten the opportunity to perform on this stage. He considers himself really lucky and he’ll work harder so that next time, people will accept him.
Bhavin said he came, sang three songs, and impressed the judges. He gained a lot from Indian Idol and this is not a loss for him. Well it sure is a loss for the show, Bhavin.
Its really bad that the talented ones get out early in this show...this means people are not voting seriously...bhavin definitely did not deserve to get out as early as he did...suhit is a horrible singer but people are keeping him on for his so-called 'cool' attitude...how far is he going to go? And whose fault is it really? Please think and vote...forget the looks...be fair!
Forget the fact that Bhavin is an excellent singer. People choosing Suhit over Bhavin is simply mindboggling. He's NOT that cool! He showed his true character when he hurled profanities at Charu during the prelim rounds.
it is very sad that bhavin, amit and prashant were in bottom 4 today and suhit was safe...what is happening to people???wake up and vote for talent, not faces..
People from Darjeeling and Kolkotta Police are unable to send SMS from their Cell Phones and the reason behind are as follows :
Darjeeling : "Network Problem " - If anyone sends the msg, its undelievered for 2 / 3 days..
Kolkotta Police : As 90% of Kolkotta Police uses BSNL (cell one) sim card through which their sms remains pending for more than 2 days...
The Idol website talks about a wild card entry this year, someone the judges will be able to put back in the show even though janta has voted him or her out. Maybe there is hope for Bhavin ......and the show
I'm worried that in the next elimination another of the best contestants will be out...again leaving Suhit in... I don't have anything against this guy...but he seriously is no match to the other boys...god!..what is it that Alisha sees in him....he is NOT COOL and he CANNOT SING!

Darjeeling, June 9: Mobs from Darjeeling to Kalimpong vandalised and gheraoed offices of mobile service providers today alleging their SMS votes for a local Indian Idol contestant were not being registered.
Prashant Tamang, a police constable in Calcutta, was among the 12 finalists of the popular TV show whose fates were to be decided through all-night voting from 9 pm on Friday till 8 am today.
Hills people alleged their votes for Tamang were not being registered because of network problems, especially with Reliance and BSNL connections, and claimed “sabotage”.
Both companies, however, insisted that the votes were registered, and Tamang indeed made it to the final 10 tonight.
The Sony contest has been known to arouse regional sentiments with a previous edition witnessing charges that viewers from a certain state had skewed the vote.
“After sending an SMS through Reliance we were getting a message saying the code word was not found. This means our votes were not getting through. We believe this is sabotage,” said Pranay Rai, Gorkha National Liberation Front MLA from Darjeeling.
BSNL subscribers such as Bimal Sharma said they were not receiving the delivery status confirming their votes had reached. “For every 20 to 30 text messages, we were getting a delivery status report for one or two. Our money, however, was being deducted.”
This morning, a crowd vandalised a Reliance outlet in Darjeeling and threw out the computers, printer and cell phones. Another mob smashed billboards of service providers across town. BSNL and Reliance offices were gheraoed in Kalimpong, and Kurseong saw street protests.
Shops in Darjeeling town were shut from 11 am but many opened late in the evening.
V. Bhattacharya, SDO (telephones) and Reliance suggested there was a problem with the Sony server. “We forced our way into their server and registered the votes,” a Reliance official said.
Anyone voting for SUHIT is simply an Idiot, no taste for music. Suhit does not know how to sing period. This is singing competition not model hunt. He does not look all that cool anyways. He srtives to be unique by wearing nail polish n folding his jeans. girls pls give him some bangles too.
Suhit is the worst of all 3 indian idols i have seen.
I don't know, why alisha's heart is on suhit...
How can one support Suhit who is dumb in singing.. useless fellow..
Alisha must be working hard to keep him in the queue but god knows..
anyways non of the left singers are too gud.. but may be later on they can perform...but in suhit , no chance of improvements too.
i completely agree in case of bhavin.i don think any more competetion is left after bhavin. i like emon's singin but he's a bit too young, and dipali is too gud so she is the only competitor to the rest and u know what?? very soon they r also gonna throw these 2 good singers out!!n let the other stupid singers sing n kill our respect and craze for music.if bhavin doesnt come back n doesnt get into atleast final 5 or 3 then probably in indian idol 4, only jokers like suhit wud participate n win!!
