Finally, Indians chose their Third Indian Idol and it might not come as a huge surprise to most viewers as the outcome was debatably decided ages ago.

Many might believe that his friendly nemesis Amit Paul should have been the winner of Indian Idol 3, and to an extent their belief might be valid, but Amit’s future is bright despite the loss and also Amit’s fans should take heart in knowing that the winner this year is any day better than the Idol last year.

all said and done, prashant finally won. congratulations to him. though i think amit should have won. well, the extended voting period was all a farce and probably determined the outcome. let's face it people, nobody, certainly not prashant nor amit, but the sony entertainment organisers is responsible for the result. so any hard feelings should be vented at them.

rite now..im in canada so, i got the result through internet.. but i not feeling well for amit.. bc i like him very much.. hes the gr8 and good singer...
i don't like prashant as compared to amit.....
any way, i would like to increse amit's confidence.. plz plz plz.. u have a good voice n u r the indian adol of ours...
but doin some thing for us n be a good singer i future...

I truly think the finals should have been in between Amit and Emon, they really have good voice quality. As for me Amit is the Indian Idol. But hey do you know that Talent really does not count in India. Like one of the user has said History repeats....talent does not count in India, and once again its proved by Prashant winning the Indian Idol Title. It's nothing against Prashant, but when you come to a stage like this talent should be considered.
Amit Paul is better than Prashant. But this result is no surprise... However this is bit happy than last indian Idol 2. Where no one is better than Karunya but Sandeep became idol.
I have been supporting since you came to audition, u deserve to be win, keep up with good just don't disappear like Sandeep (indian idol 2) he wasn't the good either
Amith is deserve to be an indian idol3 not at all Prashanth, Prashanth having the talent but not like amith poul as well Imone Chatargy. It become like Kazithokeen he was a winner of Fame Gurukul in Sony Teliv in 2006.Religion,region only wins in India we are not looking for any Political leader we need a talented and versatile singer. Amith Poul having all the Qualities for a best singer.Disappointed with the result ..... Badly and Deadly Waste of watching Indian idol next continuation
I feel sorry for Amit and his fans, if amit lost its not because he is bad but he had less vote that Prashant but it doesn't mean that Prashant is not as good as Amit, they both are brilliant and we should be happy for victory of Prashant rather than trying degrade him. He is an Idian Idol and this is fact now.

i def. think amit should have won..i'm not saying prashant was bad but he won due to the amount of votes from the police.. which i thought was unfair to amit... i loveeeeee you amit!!!
