The original release date was scheduled for next month, but realizing that Black History Month is just around the corner gave everyone involved a wonderful idea. If they just move the date back to Black History Month, then they can insult more, and gain way more press coverage. Meanwhile, what is reportedly a leaked track from the album is apparently a fake. A track called "What It Is" was leaked online, but while that is Nas rapping, it's not a song from the new album. Nas says the rap was put over a random beat as he never rapped to that beat. Read the full article here. I just wonder though, all of his "peers" that support his use of the word - would they support my use of the word? Somehow I doubt it. I'm with the Rev. Al Sharpton on this one - the word shouldn't be used by anyone.
