Vivienne Clore said the couple wanted to give themselves "a bit of time and breathing space" in the hope of saving their marriage.

The 39-year-old dance music star — whose real name is Norman Cook — married television and radio presenter Ball, 32, in August 1999.They have a two-year-old son, Woody.

"They have split for now. It is very amicable and they just want a bit of time to have a bit of breathing space," Clore said. She said Woody would spend time with both his parents.
