And walkin' is what they'll do in Jessica Simpson's new music video, as she does a remake of Nancy Sinatra's song "These Boots Are Made For Walking." The song will appear on the soundtrack to the upcoming "Dukes of Hazzard" movie, which Simpson plays the role of Daisy Duke in.
"I thought initially it was a LORETTA LYNN song, because I have all her music and she sings it," Jessica admits. "And then everyone's like 'no, that's Nancy Sinatra!' And I'm 24 so I'm like 'okay!' And I get Nancy and I'm like 'this is awesome!'"
Willie Nelson, who plays the role of Uncle Jesse in the movie, also contributed to the song.
The entire video-making process was documented by MTV's "Making the Video," which will air Monday. The soundtrack to "The Dukes of Hazzard" will hit stores July 19th.
Loretta Lynn, PLEASE!!........Anyone who knows that a CATFISH is a "fish", knows NANCY SINATRA hit the airwaves with this timeless song. Better get a grip on more than a sponge and a bikini, Jessica!!
i saw the video on mtv and i loved it. i think jessica simpson looks amazing and she looks more confident than ever. its obvious that she has been working her *off in the gym and it payed off. her hair and make-up looks great and the boots are pretty darn cute too!!
I remember when Jessica said she wasn't one of the pop princess who danced, lost weight, and dressed sexy only because sex sells. Well, obviously she's changed her opinion as her new video is worse than what Christina and Britney do.
Jessica looks great...But I remember her making fun of "pop stars" like Christina and Britney talking about how she would never be like that...that video is by far worse than either of theirs ever were, I think I lost respect for her after watching it. Also, I thought it was a horrible cover of the song, Loretta has got to be flipping out!!!

id just like to say that i think jessica is fantastic, and looks completely awesome in her latest vid. Although she has always said that she wont change her image just for music, being a woman today it is very hard not to feel you have to look ure best all the time, so good for her, i wouldnt b hiding my bod away if it looked like that!!

I think Jessica Simpson is expanding her career. She knows everyone in the media is watching her right now so she wants to give them something good to watch. Her video was not worse than Britney or Christina because it was classy. You could barely see her exposed skin. She can get away with that because with her, its ONLY an act.... i put this song on my iPod its so cool and i love it and who cares about the video shes in character-- she reworded the lyrics she changed outfits-- she did a nice job and ive never seen a white girl shake her *that good haha go white girl u give us a good name
Jessica Simpson just lost all of my respect. The song sounds like sh*t. I can't fingure out what I thought was worse... the song or the video. I think she has a great body, and I don't see anything wrong with her showing skin. I had a problem with all the grinding she was doing and shaking her as* when she didn't have one to shake. It just looked wrong. Not something I would think she would do. Very disappointed.

Jessica Simpson is gorgeous... So she danced around in a bikini... BIG EFFIN DEAL!!! She's a grown woman, much older than Britney and Christina were when they started baring their bodies. She's not skanky or smutty... she's a married woman for Pete's sake... she's not trying to convey a "sexy" image. She made that video in the Daisy Duke character mindset...
