American Idol contestant Constantine Maroulis will have the first single off of the new Queen tribute album. The album, "Killer Queen: A Tribute to Queen" features artists such as Jason Mraz, Joss Stone, Sum 41, and the Flaming Lips.
The Maroulis track, performed with the London cast of the Queen musical "We Will Rock You," is faithful to the original and similar to the one Maroulis performed on "American Idol". The track will be the first song on the disc to go to radio. The Flaming Lips' take on the tune, by contrast, is more haunting and textural, filled with layered keyboard effects, wobbly guitars and demented vocals.
Macy Gray recorded a song for the album, but it had to be left off as she didn't complete the contract forms in time for the release.
Most AI fans know I adore Constantine, so it won't come as a surprise to them that I am SO EXCITED that Constantine will be on the radio. Let's hope this moves him on to bigger and better things.
that new ai album sucked. Bo's recordings sucked. Carrie is singing christian conservative conceited country crap. Why wouldn't this suck? i think ill stick with kelly clarkson this year. again.
The album with recordings filled with amongst "Jason Mraz, Joss Stone, Sum 41, and the Flaming Lips" and then this song picked as the single to be first released states that the record company thinks it's the most promising song on the album with the biggest potential to be a hit.
I am thrilled to hear that Constantine's Bohemian Rhapsody is going to be the first radio release from the Killer Queen album! Any word on when that will be?
I am more and more impressed with Constantine's versatility. Stage productions, live concert performances, album work and a "Party of Five" type family TV drama in the works with Kelsey Grammer.
And a radio release- Constantine is headed for the top!
Great reviews and news for Constantine, I knew he would be awesome on this... it says alot for him, and no one can dispute that. People in the business do not invest their time and money on anything less than what they believe it great! and Constantine is the Great!
people in general need to listen before it's judged... PFTSOB is one I listened in live performance and they really are awesome!! cd's are there to entice you to see them live, up front and personal...and it should be that way!! See a live performance and get the cd's...

Constantine's BoRhap is awesome and I am so glad someone has heard it on the radio (an Ohio station I believe). This means other station will be picking it up soon. Con is so amazing....cant wait to see more of him on TV and in concert. Anxiously awaiting his solo CD in the fall.....ROCK ON CONSTANTINE!!!
I am so proud to be a fan of Constantine. What a beautiful voice, what a beautiful man - inside and out. You did Freddie proud - what a respectful version of a masterpiece. I can't wait to hear you on the radio. I wait impatiently now for how he will next surprise us.
A fan for life,
Patti
For the record I bought the CD, and it is mostly awesome. I love C'tine's song. Other standouts are Gavin DeGraw's "We Are The Champions" (way better than JD Fortune's version on Rockstar: INXS), "Tie Your Mother Down" by Shinedown, "Who Wants to Live Forever" by Breaking Benjamin, "Killer Queen" by Sum 41 absolutely stunned me. I could NOT believe it was Sum 41. It sounds so much like the original it's downright scary. And at the moment, Joss Stone is giving me goosebumps with her cover of "Under Pressure."
I adore Constantine's version, as well as Constantine. I am going today to get my copies, as well as the copies I am sending as part of the send KQ to the troops plan started by the Maroulis Army.
I really think Constantine was Great! I play that track over and over.. also , like Killer Queen done by sum41 it's a Good Cd! I'm enjoying it! Congrats Constantine on such a great track!
I am excited to hear about Constantine's release; I look forward to hearing it. I hope he can find his niche in the entertainment industry. I think he is talented and deserves success.
I did see the Ai concert in Columbus. I have been to a lot of concerts and it was the most boring concert that I have ever seen in my life!!! Constantine was entertaining and knew what to do with the audience. He didn't sound that great, but maybe it was the songs that he had to sing. It was like a really good high school talent show.
WOW..I was driving and heard it on the radio!
Constantine on Killer Queen's Bo-Rhap!!
I had to pull over and listen and scream.. he sounds Great!!!
Queen sure did pick a Winner in picking Constantine !!
