Yesterday we met the lovelyRhonetta Johnson who had some words for American Idol after she was rejected. She said she would end up with a record, and she certainly did.
Two months before the American Idol auditions rolled into Greensboro, North Carolina in October of 2005, Johnson was arrested in the Charlotte area. She was charged with DWI, driving with a revoked license, open container, and providing fictitious information to an officer which, given her rather dubious claim of being 5' 7" and 165 lbs, might account for the later charge.
She was arrested in November, 2 months after the auditions. She was once again charged with DWI, revoked license, open container and giving false information. This time she added larceny and resisting arrest to the list of her offenses.
Last week this was posted on the boards and this shows and proves that a different breed of reality people can emerge and this is not necessarily a good deal!

God! I can’t believe that they gave an entire segment to Rhonetta Johnson! The funny bit is she did say that she’ll be famous and look at this – she is!!!!!
Infamous or not the publicity sure helps and now we know thanks to Jess that things aren’t always what they seem!
Thankfully I was not in the judging committee for I had more than few things to say to Rhonetta Johnson and trust me the words I had would make Simon look like some great soul!
She has a site too? Wonderful! I don’t have the strength to go there – so I will let others tell me what it is all about!
In my view Rhonetta came with a purpose and she achieved it! Look at that, do we really give a darn who has a record otherwise? No way in heck, but we now know about Rhonetta Johnson’s record! Sheesh! Sigh!

Let's face it. People like Rhonetta Johnson make the show exciting.
People look at the auditions to get an early look at the good singers. However, people actually get more of a kick out of seeing the bad singers. How often do you see people get on national television and make a complete fool of themselves? The good singers are refreshing, but the bad singers are hilarious.

I don't understand, what difference does it make. So she has a background and shes now trying to change her life. No one is squecky clean, so no one I mean no one should pass any judgement . The bass word of background is back meaning in the past , behind, before , last etc. . You should all get a life and stop trying to exploit people. Those who can't do hate on those who can, she tried. Hating gets you nowhere.

She wanted the attention. Personally, I could care the least about her background. Many people have been through this show with a background. We have seen several in the top 24. At least they could hold a tone.
Rhonetta simply could not sing and made a complete fool of herself. It is only her fault that she looks like an idiot.
If she is serious about changing her life, I would suggest that she learn a trade or further her education.
Personally, I think she is satisfied with her present
form of employment. Singing is not her thing.
